Local Knit-Ins: additional info for members
Knit-Ins are sponsored by the Guild for the benefit of Guild members. A Knit-In is a group of Guild members who meet in their homes or another place such as a restaurant, bookstore, or library to knit, exchange patterns, help each other with techniques, and become better acquainted with other members of the Guild.
Knit-Ins meet at all times of the month — some during the day — some at night, so always check out the current schedule. This version of the schedule includes the name and contact information for the Guild member who hosts the meeting. Knit-Ins dates and times are also listed in the monthly newsletter.
Most Knit-Ins are organized in a geographical area so that members live close to one another. However, membership in a Knit-In is NOT limited to members living in that area. A Guild member is welcome to attend any of the Knit-Ins.
If you would like to start a new Knit-In, contact our Neighborhood Knit-Ins Coordinator.
Attending a Knit-In is a way to get more involved with the Guild and gain an extra benefit from your membership dollar. You may attend as many Knit-Ins as your schedule will allow. The only requirement for joining a Knit-In is that you be a Guild member in good standing. Non-members may attend any Knit-In held at a library, business, or similar place governed by non-exclusion rules.
